Elizabeth Mbalu Conteh

Sierra Leone

Elizabeth MBalu Conteh was born on November 2, 1987 in Atlanta, Georgia. An honor graduate from Fayette County High School, she is currently a sophomore at Emory University with dual majors in International Business and Marketing in order to pursue her dreams of one day helping her country of Sierra Leone. Elizabeth stands strictly on education, believing that in order to alleviate many of the issues Africa faces, the people must gain the education and knowledge with proper supplies and educators.

Elizabeth is very involved in her community, belonging to the Youth for Sierra Leone Improvement organization, African Dance Company for Emory University, Oxford Business Club, and donates to many causes that help Africa. Her heroes are her loving parents who keep her grounded and faith-oriented, believing all things are possible with God. One of her goals in life is to help Sweet Salone the furthest of her abilities by shipping drums full of clothes, food, school supplies, and other necessities as well, eventually dispersing her help across the whole African continent. Although American born, Elizabeth MBalu Conteh has not forgotten where she comes from, and will always know that before America is her heart, Sierra Leone.
