My name is Makale Sy. I was born and raised in Guinea. I am currently a sophomore at Howard University majoring in Accounting. I am a person with many different styles and interests. I am an easy going girl who likes to make friends. I am very passionate about people and I've learned to love myself unconditionally. I love many things such as children, my family, my country, my friends, my eldership, and my quest. I also love poetry, music, and sports. I am very active, a good listener, a decent organizer, I love to travel, I enjoy rich cultures, and I love to help others in times of need. I am a very straight-forward person who says what is on her mind. I am blessed with a great family and wonderful friends.

My career goal is to get my Bachelors degree in accounting at Howard University and become a Certified Public Accountant(CPA). After that, I would like to further my education by getting my MBA. Once I have accomplished my education in the States, my next path in life will be to go to back to Guinea and help the young men and women there to get better education by providing scholarships. My other goal is to cooperate with the government to be able to develop Guinea into a better country and I will also definitely try to stop circumcision of girls in Guinea.

I am very honored to be a part of Miss Africa USA. I want to be Miss Africa USA because I am a driven, confident, and ambitious girl. I am educated and beautiful! I have an open mind and I like to try new things (for the most part). I just try to make the best out of life while learning from my mistakes and bettering myself as a person. I love God and with the strength He has given me, I will overcome any obstacles in my path. I feel that winning this pageant will be a stepping stone for me to accomplish my goals in life.
