My name is Osungu Osong and I am contesting for the Miss Africa USA 2007 Pageant. I am a 23 years old young female from Cameroon. I am 5' 9" tall, slender, and very outgoing. I have five siblings, four brothers and one sister. I attended nursery (elementary), primary (middle school), and High school in Cameroon. During my first year in the USA, I signed up for classes at Richland College while working for my dad's company (BAO Medical Billing Company), as a medical biller associate. Being a student and working for my dad was wonderful but not satisfactory enough so I decided to follow my dreams to be a model. I auditioned for Barbizon Modeling company and I've been working locally and nationally as a model for 3 years now. During my first year as a model, I attempted acting. I took many classes in musical theatre, cold readings, music, ballet, fashion and design, vocal training, and jazz alongside my regular curriculum. On May 15th 2005, I started my acting Career at the Garland civic theatre, Theatre 3, MAAI in Las Vegas, MSA in New York, and TSA in California. My resume includes working red carpet events in Dallas, Washington, and Tucson for TI, Erika Badu, Will Smith ( in Dallas for the promotion for "Pursuit Of Happyness"). I've worked at events for Samantha Mumba, Britney Spears and Kevin (on June 2006 in Dallas for the promotion of Kevin’s new song), and also for the Dallas Mavericks as a supporting model. I have also modeled as a living statue for Bravo in March 2005, which happened to be the most difficult job I have ever done. I love singing, dancing, reading, writing, tennis, soccer, running, cooking,
swimming, roller coasters, and of course performing in live theatres and
fashion shows. I don't exactly like night clubs because of all the irritating
smells. I don't like people who are afraid of going after their dreams
for fear of what others will thing or say about them and I dislike selfish
and self-centered adults. I have also taken part in a handful of charitable
events like contributing in sponsoring a child in Africa every year with
my family at the Joseph Catholic Church in Dallas Texas. I believe every
child merits the love and attention. Not only are they the future of Africa,
they are the future of the whole world. |
