Here are the eligibility requirements:
1. You must be aged between
18-30 years by or on November 1st 2008
2. You must be born in Africa
or have at least one parent from Africa
3. You must be either a
college student, a graduate intending to pursue further education
and self advancement, or a person who is striving to get an
education
4. You must be single, with
no children
5. You must submit a complete
application form (click on the "Become
A Delegate/Contestant" link) and attach
3 good quality pictures(.gif or .jpeg format). These pictures
will be used in your online profile so make sure you send your
best pictures because you will not be able to change them once
they are online
6. You must attend one of
the audition events at the dates and locations
listed below

You must submit a 5
minute or less audition video. In your video, make
sure you mention the following-
In your video, feel free
to be as original and creative as you want but make sure you
show a portion of your talent (dancing, singing, poetry, etc.)
and make sure you perform a quick stage walk so we can have
an idea of how well you model.
You can also make and
post your audition video on You-Tube and send
us the link or you can send us a video tape/cd. Make sure you
put "Miss Africa USA 2008 Audition"
in the title of your video.
7. You must submit a non-refundable
application fee of $50
You can submit your application

below). You can also submit your $50 application

Registration for all
contestants ends in July so if you would like
to be a part of this event, enter now. Eligible contestants
will be publicized on this website and people will be able to
vote on their favorites from each country. Winners in the preliminary
